System Engineering Project 2

For System Engineering Project 2, I am tasked to analyse my chosen domain, create non-leading questions to interview my stakeholders to find out their frustration. Analysis the current market to find the current solutions, craft a new and innovative solution that will not only tackle their frustration, but also address the current market limitations.
Through all these steps, I have managed to identify a frustration on changing clothes and diapers within the Nursing industry. My solution to tackle this frustration is to connect 4 different inflation (head, left, right side and knee) into a single mattress, on top of the hospital bed, nurses are then able to inflate parts through a 4 way valve to tilt and flip the patient, allowing the ease of changing clothes and diapers. This solution is also able to integrate easily with the current Standard-of-Procedure (SOP).
As this is also an inter-cohort competition, my team and our solution were 1 of the 3 chosen project to be submitted into the James Dyson Competition to represent my course.
